Junction Hotel web design project
Website design, build and social media integration
The Junction Hotel site is an online companion to a traditional print format publication, produced by Oxford University press. Arnie was delighted when we were asked to take a creative approach to the sites web design.
The title 'Organizational Behaviour' covers management learning in large companies using a hotel as a working model. To tie the print and digital media together the look and feel of the website mimics traditional hotel styling and mechanisms. For example we used a hotel reservation form styled as a door handle sign to reserve copies of the book.
The aim of the site is twofold, firstly to act as a marketing tool and point of contact during pre-publication. When the title was published the site delivered multi format content, aiding learning in an engaging way.
Arnie created several mock ups for the site. After the selected web design was agreed on by OUP we built the site using HTML, CSS and JQuery. The final stage was to convert the site to run on their in house content management system.
Oxford University Press use social networks to help market products and titles. They utilised our social media services to integrate Twitter feeds, You Tube videos and enabling share and follow tools.
